About New Wave Environmental Consulting
New Wave Environmental Consulting (New Wave) is a Montana based-firm focused on providing environmental regulatory and natural resources consulting services throughout the Rocky Mountain region. New Wave strives to address the challenge of balancing the use of and conservation of our natural resources within the current environmental regulatory framework. New Wave specializes in fisheries and water resources and provides clients with scientific, regulatory, and project management skills and capabilities to solve issues and deliver solutions.
New Wave’s goal is to provide opportunities and solutions for clients to address regulatory challenges of today and tomorrow. New Wave’s philosophy for project success includes three major components: 1) clear communication, 2) providing quality and reliable services, and 3) delivering results.
New Wave assists clients in navigating through the cumbersome and sometimes daunting list of today’s environmental regulatory requirements at the local, state, and federal levels. New Wave is technically versed in regulatory requirements under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) or Montana Environmental Policy Act (MEPA), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Endangered Species Act (ESA), Clean Water Act (CWA), National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) or Montana Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (MPDES), as well as other local, state, and federal requirements. New Wave’s professional experience has included coordinating and consulting with agencies/stakeholders, developing studies and management plans to address aquatic and terrestrial resources, implementing study plans, analyzing data and preparing technical documents, identifying the permitting process and schedule, and preparing permit applications and other various supporting documents.
Kristi Webb, Owner
Kristi Webb is a Certified Fisheries Professional and has been involved in environmental consulting and natural resources for over 15 years. She has a degree in Biology and Master’s in Environmental Science with emphasis in water resources. Since school she has wanted to work in an environment that focuses on finding a balance between societal needs to develop and consume resources and conservation of these valued resources. Consulting has provided a great opportunity for working to conserve natural resources while allowing for incredible projects to move forward that facilitate community, business, and economic growth.
In 2013, Kristi established New Wave Environmental Consulting, and she is excited to continue to provide top quality environmental consulting services as a business owner. She prepares high quality products with a meticulous attention to detail while maintaining a sense of the goals and objectives of the overall project. Ms. Webb’s strengths include her communication skills with clients and stakeholders in projects with various layers of complexity, developing and maintaining positive relationships, listening to clients, and collaborative spirit. She has managed and navigated several projects through the myriad of environmental regulatory requirements. Project experience includes markets such as power generation, transportation, land development, and water resources. Ms. Webb has expertise in management of projects and staff; management of environmental regulatory requirements and schedules; oversight and preparation of biological and environmental assessments; coordination and preparation of a variety of federal, state, and local environmental permits; and field work in several disciplines including, fisheries, stream ecology; limnology, riparian ecology; and wetland ecology.
